The program advances RALA's express mission to serve as an organization to further the revitalization and evolution of the Arts & Crafts Movement, in both craft and fine art.
The program is designed to give those who are exhibiting a high quality of work the opportunity to see if a path to juried status exists, and highlight areas where specific improvement could be cultivated in order to pursue membership.
The Roycrofters-At-Large Association has been entrusted with educating, fostering and inspiring through the continual evolution of the Arts and Crafts Movement for 50 years, since resurrecting the Roycroft standard in 1976 and seeding the Roycroft Renaissance.
The jurying process for Roycroft Artisans is notoriously rigorous. Each year we select 4 Emerging Artists for Targeted Mentoring
Each April, artists whose work exemplifies:
- High quality hand-craftsmanship
- Excellence in design
- Continuing artistic growth
- Originality of expression
- Professional recognition are awarded use of the RR mark through annual jury by Roycroft Master Artisans.
Applications are only accepted January through March of each year.
