We welcome all collectors, interested persons or patrons who wish to be a part of the behind the scenes operations that make our programming possible. Our committee members help make everything we do possible! Formal board service is not necessary to serve on a committee. Neither is residency in WNY: we have committee members dialing in all over the country! For more information on how your specific skills or Roycroft interests could be a fit for one of our committees, read below and reach out to either our Executive Director or Nominations Chair.
Communications and Publicity
Helps promote and communicate the activities, opportunities and educational offerings of the Roycrofters At Large Association and promotes the interests of Roycroft Artisans across the nation through social media platforms, email and our members newsletter printed "every once in a while." Our Communications Committee also updates our website, which is hosted via WordPress and works with press and legacy publishing partners to publish RALA related news in print and broadcast media.
Membership
Assists and processes new and renewing members' memberships and ensures that all members receive their annual premiums and notices of voting eligibility in our annual elections. Coordinates members gatherings throughout the year, including our annual picnic and Holiday Party.
Festival Committee
Stages and executes our annual Summer and Winter Festivals. Committee members work with Artisans, Vendors and Venue Partners under the direction of the Festival Chair to host the Roycroft Summer Festival in June and the Roycroft Winter Festival in December. Volunteers from the Festival Committee also canvas posters and handbills and help as volunteers at the Festivals front of show.
Finance and Resource Committee
Works closely with our Treasurer and Director to identify donors, patrons and grant funding opportunities for revenue to fund our key programming. The Resource Committee also handles the annual donations to build our famed Goodie Box fundraiser, and volunteers to host and sell Goodie tickets at various RALA events throughout the year.
Anniversary and Archive Committee
The Work of the Moment - plan, organize and execute RALA50 and the various programs associated with our fiftieth anniversary celebration. Archive committee also works with Robb Mair to catalogue and safely store ephemera and archival materials discovered through the 2026 RALA50 curation of materials, and work to establish a formal RALA archive as part of our strategic plan.
Mark and Jury Committee
Mark and Jury Committee plans and oversees our annual Jurying of new and renewing Artisans, held in April each year. They also serve as welcoming committee for new Artisans and answer questions about use of the mark and acquaint new Artisans with Artisan Handbook guidelines and host the annual New Artisan Welcome Presentation.
Education Committee
Our Education Committee handles our Emerging Artists mentorship program and the Little Journey speaker series, as well as coordinating occasional eduational workshops and studio tour opportunities
Nominations Committee
Identifies and recruits possible valuable additions to the board, fills board vacancies and administers our annual elections. Nominations committee members also work with Membership and the Director to fill our standing committees and make sure that all necessary volunteer needs for RALA events are filled from the volunteer roster.

Responsible for scheduling and hosting Royrcroft Artisans and Masters' works for the public as the opportunity to do so arises, and seeks out possible venues and exhibition opportunities in WNY.
