The Roycrofters-At-Large Association, Inc. is a 503c3 organization entrusted with educating, fostering, and inspiring artisans and the public alike, as part of the continual evolution of the Arts and Crafts Movement.

The Roycrofters-At-Large Association was formed in 1976 by a group of Western New York residents that included several descendants of the original Roycrofters, including Elbert Hubbard’s granddaughter. This fiftieth anniversary stands as both a remembrance of achievement and shared history and a commitment to the enduring importance of integrity, quality and the spirit of Head, Hand and Heart.

For fifty years, the Roycrofters-at-Large Association has upheld the principles of fine workmanship, thoughtful design and artistic integrity. Rooted in Western New York with impact across the nation, the association carries forward the treasured Roycroft tradition and spirit of innovation that was borne in East Aurora over a century ago, and restored and reinvigorated in 1976 by the founders of RALA, as the association is colloquially known.
The Commemoration
Artists, collectors, patrons and friends are invited to gather in recognition of half a century of creative endeavor, collaboration and craftsmanship.
As we look ahead in 2026 and into 2027, we look forward exhibitions of regional and national artists, Artisan demonstrations reflecting traditional and contemporary design, festivals celebrating the diverse handcraft of our modern Roycroft Masters and Artisans, educational programming that instructs, inspires and informs the future of the WNY Arts & Crafts movement.
