50 Seasons of Roycroft : Golden Jubilee Posters and Archive

“Golden Jubilee: 50 Years of Roycroft Renaissance,” is an exhibition from the archives of Roycrofters at Large celebrating the history of the Roycroft Summer Festival, as part of RALA50, RALA’s region-wide celebration of the 50th anniversary of its founding in 1976.
“50 Seasons” presents a curated collection of vintage and collectible Roycroft Summer Festival posters and ephemera dating back to the earliest days of RALA’s founding and the founding of the Roycroft Convention, now known nationally as the Roycroft Summer Festival, held historically on the final full weekend of June.
The exhibit was assembled under the direction of Michael Starks, board chair of the RALA Anniversary and Archive Committee, Robb Mair of the Aurora Historical Society and member of the RALA Anniversary and Archive Committee and RALA Executive Director Tami Fuller.
This exhibit opened on The Historic Roycroft Campus on May 30 and was on view inside The Jerry & Barbara Castiglia Art Center through July 30. It was transferred to the Aurora Public Library on August 1, where it remains available and open to the public through August 31, 2026.
A collection of Roycroft Patron Premiums and ephemera from our archive is also on display in the library’s entrance display case alongside “50 Seasons,” displaying an exciting selection of work by Roycroft Artisans gifted to our Patron Members as a benefit of membership since the 1980s. The tradition of selecting the annual “Premium,” our Gift of Art, is undertaken every spring by the Board of Directors, where an artisan is selected to provide the annual premium and is compensated for their work. This highly competitive process guarantees that work by this artisan is permanently entered into our archives. This archive has been amassed and catalogued by Robb Mair, our Chair of Membership, as part of the RALA50 archive committee.
The Aurora Town Public Library is located at 550 Main St in East Aurora and is open to the public during normal business hours, listed on their website
