Amanda Hartrich is a fiber artist residing in Western New York. She has been teaching fiber arts for twenty years, and along the way her passion for wool grew to include spinning, dyeing and weaving. She and her husband (and children) spent 8 years raising Shetland sheep on their farm, while she ran her online fiber shop Inspiration Fibers (and later, Willow Glen Farm).
On Ravelry, she led a lively breed study group for spinners for many years.
Amanda has served as president of Common Threads Spinning Guild, written, spun, and designed for PLY magazine, and brought fiber arts to various non-profit organizations in the city of Buffalo. She currently teaches fiber arts at MUSEjar in East Aurora, NY. She is a member of Common Threads Spinning Guild, the Weavers’ Guild of Buffalo and the American Tapestry Association.
