SUMMARY:RALA50 Gold Anniversary: The Art & Craft of the Harvest Table
DESCRIPTION:The Roycrofters-At-Large Association (RALA) launches its 50th anniversary celebrations on September 30\, 2026 with a ticketed Golden Anniversary Dinner and Fundraising Event on Wednesday\, September 30\, 2026 at the historic Mansion at Knox Farm State Park. \n \n \nThe Art and Craft of the Harvest Table is a homage to earlier dinners presented under the Roycroft name as The Art and Craft of Dining\, by our beloved visionary and founding member Kitty Turgeon. Members of RALA maybe recall these RALA events\, held at The Roycroft Inn and at Chautauqua Institution as times of celebration\, camaraderie and the love of good work\, well done. \nThe evening will begin with a social hour reception from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. with welcome remarks and an anniversary toast. A buffet dinner featuring local seasonal and organic fare provided by Thorpe's Family Organic Farm will begin at 6:30 p.m. Weather permitting\, seating will encompass both the formal dining room and the Mansion's beautiful outdoor courtyard\, making this event a true celebration of the harvest and early fall evenings under the stars. \nGuests will enjoy live musical entertainment by Saxman Slim. \nThe inspiration for this evening at the harvest table centers the global Slow Food movement. Slow Food’s mission to unite the joy of food with the pursuit of justice and achieve good\, clean and fair food for all is one that resonates deeply with the Roycroft philosophy\, and the return to an appreciation of the land and the roots that sustain us aligns with a celebration of the founding of the Roycroft Renaissance; one that restored and brought new life to a precious\, deeply rooted source of soulful sustenance for our East Aurora community and what was\, at that time\, a small but fierce base of collectors and conservationists. Through five decades of dedication to excellence\, integrity\, idealism and no small amount of stubborn tenacity\, this group has grown to encompass thousands of collectors\, researchers\, conservationist\, patron members and Artisans and Masters working the Roycroft tradition across the continental United States and Canada. \nBringing the Slow Food into focus with the Roycroft philosophy offers an opportunity to celebrate food created with “Head\, Hand and Heart” - the same principles of craftsmanship\, quality and integrity that have long defined our tradition\, and speak to the what sustains not just our bodies\, but our spirit\, our imaginations and our sense of place. \nHosts for this Golden Celebration are Patron Sponsors and RALA50 Chairs Michael and Sandy Starks\, Roycrofters at Large Executive Director Tami Fuller and Roycrofters at Large President Peter Potter. \nGuests for the evening's program will also have the exclusive opportunity to bid on a curated selection of ephemera\, collectibles and Roycroft artifact released from the Roycrofters at Large archives for the evening. \n\n		\n		\n			\n				\n			\n			\n				\n			\n		\n\nAs of Monday\, September 28\, we've left a "collectors buffer" on our guest list for last minute reservations - 6 seats remain for Wednesday evening's dinner and fundraising auction.
